By using this site or placing an order you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Who you are dealing with
Art by Maya is a one-person operation based in Victoria, Australia, selling original marine ink illustrations printed onto stickers, apparel and paper. Stock is held and posted by hand. Nothing is printed on demand by a third party.
Prices and payment
Prices are in Australian dollars. We are not registered for GST, so no GST is charged and we do not issue tax invoices. Payment is taken by Stripe on its own hosted checkout page. Your card details never reach this site and we never see them.
Orders
Your order is an offer to buy, not a completed contract. We accept it when we dispatch the goods. Stock counts on this site are updated by hand, so on rare occasions an item sells out between your order and packing day: if that happens we will email you and refund that item in full.
If a price or product description is obviously wrong, we may cancel the order and refund you rather than fulfil it at the mistaken price.
Shipping
We post within Australia only. Orders of stickers alone ship free; anything else is charged at the flat rates shown at checkout. Delivery estimates are Australia Post’s, not guarantees. What happens when a parcel arrives damaged or does not arrive is covered by the returns policy.
Returns
The returns policy forms part of these terms. Nothing in either document excludes or limits the consumer guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Artwork and intellectual property
Every illustration on this site is original work belonging to Maya. Buying a sticker, shirt or print buys you that physical object. It does not transfer any rights in the artwork. Please don’t reproduce, resell, print, tattoo or use the designs commercially without asking. Asking is usually fine; ask.
Using the site
You agree not to:
- Scrape, copy or republish the artwork or content
- Attempt to disrupt or interfere with the site or its checkout
- Place orders fraudulently or on someone else’s card
Your details
To send you an order we need your name, postal address and email. Those are collected by Stripe at checkout, held in our Stripe dashboard, and used to pack, post and support your order. We don’t sell them, and we don’t add you to a mailing list you didn’t ask for. Email us if you want your details deleted.
Availability of the site
The site is provided “as is”. We don’t promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or withdraw products at any time.
Liability
Nothing here excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to a product or to this site is limited to replacing the goods or refunding what you paid for them.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the one published when you placed it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
